7+ years in Data Engineering, including 2+ years as a tech lead or architect, with a track record of designing data platforms end-to-end
Strong architectural judgment, clear design documentation, and the ability to defend decisions in review
Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (S3, Kinesis, ECS, Athena etc), and modern data stack tools (dbt)
Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration (Airflow or similar)
Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices — schema design, partitioning, versioning, etc
Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code
Proficiency in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL
Experience hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
