The Role_ // As part of the Passenger Apps team, you'll lead the delivery and ongoing development of Masabi's native passenger applications, the white-label Justride/Passenger experience deployed across transit agencies worldwide, spanning iOS, Android and Web. This is a hands-on Technical Lead role with a balance of approximately 50% technical contribution and 50% people leadership, delivery management and team coordination. Alongside supporting a team of engineers, you'll remain actively involved in technical design, implementation, code reviews and delivery planning, focused on integrating Masabi's Justride SDK and public API platform capabilities. Location_ // This role is available in a remote model for candidates based in Romania Responsibilities_ Strong hands-on engineer at heart, current in at least one native platform (Swift/UIKit or Kotlin/Coroutines) and able to move confidently across both You’ve led technical delivery across engineering teams, owning quality through code review and design guidance rather than stepping back from the work You've managed and grown engineers directly, running 1:1s, coaching and honest feedback Comfortable in multi-tenant or white-label products, where one codebase serves many customers with different needs Experience delivering and evolving production applications, including migrations or modernisation efforts Knowledgeable and experienced in SDK and API integrations Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and able to demonstrate how you’ve incorporated them into engineering workflow A calm communicator who keeps stakeholders aligned and can hold the balance between coding and leading
