8+ years in marketing design, brand design, or a similar role, in-house or at an agency
A portfolio that shows range: campaign work, event design, social, digital, and ideally some print
Strong core skills in typography, layout, and color, and fluency in Figma and the Adobe suite. Understanding of motion graphics is a plus
Web UI/UX Mastery: You have a deep understanding of web design principles, including component-based design systems, responsive layouts, and user-centric navigation. You don’t just design pages; you design experiences that guide users, optimize for conversion, and maintain visual coherence across our digital ecosystem
Systems thinker: you build templates and guidelines that make other people's work better, not just polished one-offs
Comfortable juggling multiple projects with fast turnarounds, and honest about trade-offs when everything is due Friday
Having the ability to self manage direct and honest feedback from Sr. Creative Director and stakeholders when necessary
Forward thinking with design thinking to solve problems is a huge plus as is understanding of current target audience and how to expand further beyond that
Clear communicator: you can present a concept, explain the reasoning behind it, and take feedback without losing the thread
Curious about AI tools in the design workflow and opinionated about where they help and where they don't
Care for typography and understanding of design systems, layout and color
Digital-First Mindset: You possess a strong foundation in web UI/UX, with the ability to translate complex product positioning into intuitive, engaging digital journeys. You understand how design systems dictate web scalability and feel comfortable evolving those systems as our digital presence grows
Experience crafting cohesive, integrated brand campaigns that go beyond simple assets to deliver narrative impact, translating complex product truths into compelling, "show-don't-tell" creative that resonates not just with technical audiences, but also with audiences en masse
Event production experience at scale: you've shipped a booth, not just designed one
Web design experience is a plus, especially on sites powered by a CMS (bonus points if it was Sanity)
A track record of helping to build or rebuild a brand at a startup or scaleup
