Develop and review civil site designs including grading, drainage, access roads, foundations, and stormwater systems for utility-scale solar projects
Prepare and/or review design deliverables such as site plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, and construction details
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, structural, geotechnical, and construction) to ensure coordinated project designs
Support permitting efforts by preparing civil design documentation and responding to jurisdictional comments
Perform site analysis using topographic data, geotechnical reports, and hydrology studies to guide design decisions
Utilize civil engineering and CAD software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, or similar) to produce detailed and accurate drawings
Evaluate constructability and provide field support during construction, including review of RFIs, submittals, and redlines
Assist in developing civil design standards, templates, and best practices for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including stormwater management, environmental, and permitting requirements
