Owning the team's delivery and execution: planning, aligning cross-team dependencies, review processes, and quality
Setting the technical direction, run design reviews, ensure consistency of solutions, contribute to development (~30% hands-on)
Collaborating on discovery — primarily with the Product Manager: technical elaboration of ideas and hypotheses before development starts
Developing people: 1:1s, feedback, basic performance practices, mentoring
Commercial Go development experience for 5+ years, including at least 1–2 years in a technical leadership capacity
Deep knowledge of Go internals: concurrency, goroutines, channels, memory management and garbage collection
Proven experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant, high-load backend systems from the ground up
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices, including service decomposition and API contract design
Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures, including designing messaging topologies for multi-service systems
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including transactions, indexes, locking mechanisms, and query optimization at scale
Experience with Redis and caching strategies, including cache invalidation design for distributed systems
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments, including capacity planning and scaling strategies
Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes configuration management
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, including pipeline design for multi-service releases
Experience supporting services in production, including monitoring, alerting, incident investigation, and post-incident analysis
Solid understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns, including consistency models, service boundaries, and failure handling
Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above
