Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. In this
role, you will help build and evolve our observability platform, ensuring reliability, scalability,
and operational excellence. Your responsibilities include
Build, operate, and continuously improve the company's observability platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for internal infrastructure, external services, and network connectivity.
Develop and operate monitoring, alerting, and health checks for VPN infrastructure and critical platform services.
Migrate and optimize observability clusters and infrastructure to support evolving architecture and business needs.
Integrate new telemetry and logging data sources into the observability platform (e.g. shipping CloudTrail logs into Quickwit).
Maintain and enhance the observability ecosystem, including operators, exporters, proxies, MCP servers, and AI-powered tooling.
Improve the reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities of tracing, metrics, logging, and event processing pipelines.
Troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and drive continuous improvements to platform performance while operating and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience as an Observability Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer.
Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting observability platforms for distributed systems.
Good knowledge of observability technologies, including metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, and monitoring (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Tempo, Loki, Quickwit, or similar).
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments, including Helm and Kubernetes deployment workflows.
Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure, including CloudTrail and cloud networking.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Good understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, proxies, and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Go at an intermediate level, with experience maintaining and extending internal tools and services.
Experience with AI-assisted developer and operations tooling (e.g. MCP servers, AI assistants, automation) is a strong plus.
Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Conditions
Annual income gross: €72.000-96.000.
Remote work with official employment in EU countries.
1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
