Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment
NEC Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the design, building, and maintenance of low voltage (600 volts and below) power distribution systems
Load Calculation Expertise: Solid knowledge to perform load calculations on machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A
Software Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Office-based software systems. Solid knowledge of computer-aided design (ACADE) and to design and document electrical schematics and power distribution systems
Machine Engineering Principles: Solid knowledge of the principles of machine engineering and the building of production and other equipment
Skills in Relationship Management: Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and control panel builders
Electrical Test Equipment Skills: Solid skills working with, and knowledge of the use of all electrical test equipment
Schematic and Diagram Interpretation: Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams
Quality Inspection Skills: Ability to inspect the quality of work performed for flaws and mistakes
Work Ethic: Ability to work in a self-directed manner on several projects at the same time
Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required
