5+ years of leadership experience managing, mentoring, or formally leading technical/DevRel teams, with the judgment to hire and grow advocates
Strong hands-on technical foundation: you can build and debug real demos and explain architecture tradeoffs to both builders and internal partners
Working fluency with modern AI development: how LLMs work (prompting, grounding, evaluation), common patterns (RAG, tools/agents, function calling), and hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, OpenAI, Anthropic, OSS models)
Solid grounding in data and analytics workflows (SQL, ELT/ETL, dbt, orchestration) and empathy for the day-to-day realities of data and engineering teams
Excellent communication and storytelling able to turn complex AI and data concepts into clear narratives for technical and executive audiences
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership: influencing senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Field, and Marketing, and turning ambiguous work into executable plans
Comfort defining outcome-based metrics and using data plus qualitative signals to prioritize, iterate, and decide what to stop doing
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms
Familiarity with the Snowflake developer ecosystem, such as Notebooks, Streamlit, Cortex Agents, CoCo, CoWork etc
Recognized community standing committer/maintainer role, foundation/governance participation, or a sustained presence in strategic developer communities
A history of building reusable adoption systems (reference architectures, diagnostic tools, workshop programs) and communities
Prior experience as a software, data, or ML/AI engineer
