Polymarket is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help build, scale, and operate the platform that our exchange and product engineering teams run on. This role is focused on the systems underneath the systems — Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and reliability — that let our engineers ship fast without breaking things
You'll be a core individual contributor working with senior engineers across the org to design, automate, and harden the infrastructure that powers Polymarket at scale. This is a high-ownership role with minimal bureaucracy and a strong bias toward execution
We're looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer who's comfortable owning systems end-to-end and enjoys solving hard operational and scaling problems
Own core infrastructure: Design, build, and operate the Kubernetes-based platform that runs Polymarket's services, including cluster architecture, workload scheduling, and multi-environment management
Build for scale & reliability: Design and implement systems for autoscaling, load balancing, service discovery, and disaster recovery that hold up under real trading volume
Automate everything: Write code (not just scripts) to manage infrastructure as code, build internal tooling, and eliminate manual toil across deployment, provisioning, and operations
Strengthen CI/CD: Build and maintain fast, reliable deployment pipelines that let engineering teams ship confidently and frequently
Drive observability & incident response: Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; participate in on-call rotations and lead root-cause analysis for production incidents
Manage cloud infrastructure: Architect and optimize our cloud footprint (AWS/GCP) for cost, performance, and security
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with backend, exchange, and product engineering teams to ensure infrastructure decisions support the platform's performance and growth needs
