Polymarket is launching perpetual futures and we're looking for a Senior Web Engineer to own the frontend of our perps product. You'll build the trading interfaces that traders will rely on every day: order entry, position management, real-time market data, and the full suite of UI that makes a great perps exchange feel fast, reliable, and intuitive
This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of frontend product development, backend systems, performance, and reliability. We want someone who has shipped trading UIs before, understands the domain deeply, and can move fast without compromising quality
Own and ship complex trading UI features end-to-end — order books, position panels, trade history, funding rates, liquidation displays, and more — making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
Work closely with backend engineers to design APIs, reason through real-time data flows, and build reliable trading experiences on top of complex exchange systems
Partner with QA, TPM, product, and design to clarify requirements, manage launches, and improve product quality
Monitor dashboards, alerts, and user reports to identify and respond to issues quickly; work with backend and infrastructure teams during incidents to isolate root causes and follow through with fixes
Design and implement UI that handles live market data, streaming order books, and fast-moving prices in a way that feels responsive and accurate to traders
Build and improve the logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting that give the team visibility into frontend system performance
Identify meaningful technical debt, propose pragmatic refactors, and contribute to system design discussions that evolve our frontend architecture as the product scales
