Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience managing and maintaining geospatial or database systems
Experience designing, implementing, and managing geodatabases
Experience with database management systems (DBMS) and data architecture
Experience monitoring database performance and implementing optimization strategies
Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data workflows
Strong understanding of database security, access controls, and data protection
Experience with scripting or automation for database maintenance (e.g., Python, SQL)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and stakeholders
Experience supporting DHS or other federal government programs
Familiarity with Esri geospatial platforms and enterprise GIS environments
Experience working with cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3)
Experience with data federation, REST services, and system integration
Familiarity with metadata standards and geospatial data lifecycle management
