Senior Medical Writer,, will serve as key member of the BostonGene Medical Communications Team for generating and editing sceintific- & contract-related internal documents and customer deliverables. This position will require an ability to communicate effectively with customers and to craft and deliver messaging that is consistent with BostonGene’s lexicon, goals and priorities. This position will also support internal teams at BostonGene to ensure consistent messaging across departments and to provide context to BostonGene staff that will enhance their understanding of both the scientific and business value of all endeavors. As a secondary priority, this position will support general medical writing tasks such as abstract review, manuscript review, conference support, and task triaging for the Medical Communications Team.
Job responsibilities
Required qualifications
PhD, MD, MS, or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
3+ years of medical writing experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of oncology, precision medicine, genomics, molecular diagnostics, and biomarker-driven drug development.
Excellent scientific writing, editing, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluency in English and Russian (written and spoken), with the ability to produce high-quality scientific, technical, and business documentation.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data to diverse audiences.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management and collaboration platforms.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Experience in AI-driven healthcare, computational biology, bioinformatics, or precision medicine is a plus.
