The Aurendil project embodies all of these: a new kind of database runtime that allows us to try new ways of executing queries on cloud hardware, that forges its own path parallel to, but separate from, the 40 years of relational database orthodoxy, and a team with an easy camaraderie.

We are expanding our UK-based team with talented post-doctoral researchers to take on the responsibility of realizing the Aurendil vision to build the next-generation of graph databases. The goal of the Aurendil project is to construct a radical new query language runtime for graph databases inspired by advances in programming language technologies. As such, we are building a cross-disciplinary team of post-doctoral researchers to design and implement the Aurendil prototype from the ground up
