4–6 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration or workplace technology development, with a focus on automation or scripting
Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (Java, Go, Python, JavaScript/Apps Script, Bash, PowerShell) and comfortable with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integration frameworks
Familiarity with SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian) and interest in agentic/AI workflows (LLMs, agents, prompt pipelines)
Understanding of IAM/SSO (Okta, SAML/OIDC/SCIM) or a willingness to grow in this area; experience automating provisioning/access is a plus
Experience or curiosity about CI/CD, workflow orchestration, and building self-service delivery models that leverage agents or automation
Strong troubleshooting, documentation and cross-functional communication skills; comfortable collaborating with non-technical partners and translating automation into tangible operational gains

The role is part of the IT Function within the broader Mozilla Infrastructure team. The IT team supports ERP Services, Workplace services, Service-Desk and On-Prem DC Services across the organization aligned with the mission to build a safe & secure internet. As a Software (Application) Engineer in the newly formed Workplace technology team, you’ll help design, build, and maintain the systems and automations that power Mozilla’s workplace technologies — from collaboration and AI productivity tools to identity and access workflows. You’ll manage day-to-day administration, develop scripts and integrations, and contribute to projects that improve reliability, security, and user experience. This role is hands-on and growth-oriented, offering opportunities to deepen your technical expertise while shaping how Mozillians work and collaborate
